Withdrawing funds? Here's the schedule for the holidays

This is very important for anyone who's planning to withdraw
funds from their Freelancer account before the end of the year.

Please ensure you lodge your withdrawal requests by 5pm EDT on
Wednesday 21st December, otherwise you'll get your funds after
they're processed on Friday December 30th.

Here's the schedule for withdrawal cut offs over the holidays:

5pm EDT Sunday 18th December - normal
5pm EDT Wednesday 21st December - normal
No withdrawals on Tuesday 27th December
5pm EDT Wednesday 28th December - normal
5pm EDT Sunday 1st January - normal

Note: There will be no withdrawals on Tuesday 27th December.

Hire Freelancers directly from their Profile page!

Employers, we know you've worked with Freelancers who are so
good that you've wanted to hire them again. That's why we
created Hire Me, plus, we've also added a "Contact list" from
which you can easily rehire Freelancers you've previously
hired.

Here's how it works:

- Click Hire Me, on any Freelancer's Profile, to make them an
offer.
- Create your project using the form, specifying the amount
you'll pay.
- The Freelancer receives your offer and must accept or decline
it.
- By accepting your offer, that Freelancer is automatically
added to your Contact List, making it easy to rehire them for
upcoming projects.
- When your project is complete the details are displayed in
an easy-to-read table, giving you a record of who did what.

As always, for your safety, make sure you use our Milestone
Payment system and only pay when you're satisfied with the work.

Advice for Freelancers

Hire Me can be a consistent and significant source of income
for you now that Employers can approach you directly!

Employers will hire you on the strength of your Profile so make
sure yours is 100% complete and stands out.

Adding a photo and updating your About Me section are 2 easy ways
to enhance your Profile, and here are some more:

- Jump straight to the top of the Find Freelancers directory!
Starting at US$1 for 7 days, sponsor your placement on page 1
of the directory. You can also highlight your entry for US$1
a week.

- Promote your Freelancer Profile link through Facebook, Twitter,
your website and any other method you use to communicate with

Hourly Projects are live! Hire, and get paid, by the hour!

Hourly projects is a game changer that will revolutionize the
way you get work done on Freelancer.com! It's your most flexible
project type, and introduces some useful new features.

Employers can hire Freelancers by the hour, for long or short
term projects, vary their work hours from week to week and pay
for the actual hours worked.

Freelancers, meanwhile, can work according to their schedule
and reduce their commission fees by up to 70%! Ours is the
lowest commission rate in the industry - 3% for Gold members
($24.95/month).

We've also introduced a new invoicing system, which makes it
easy to pay, and get paid, plus all your invoices are stored

A Design Studio is a private workspace, shared by Employers

having to switch between windows!

- a message board to share immediate feedback. This creates
an ongoing discussion that can be viewed at all times, ensuring
clearer communication.

- a built-in Contract Management System so you can legally
own the work created for your project. This is very important,
and we’ve made it as easy as possible. Just complete a short
handover process and ownership is transferred from your Freelancer

Currency conversions are now available on site

We’ve added a currency converter, which you can use to convert
your currency to any of those offered on Freelancer.com!

We made this change because, with Employers and Freelancers
located in 234 countries and regions, Freelancers are sometimes
paid in currencies that differ from their local currency.

For example, a UK Employer hires and pays a Filipino Freelancer
in pounds instead of Philippine pesos. As a result, that
Freelancer could have more than one currency in their account
balance (both pounds and pesos).

Now, that Freelancer, and you, can manage multiple currencies
by converting all your funds into whichever currency you want!

You can now Withdraw funds twice a week from Freelancer.com

Until now, you’ve been able to withdraw funds from your
Freelancer account once each week. Well, on September 19, we
doubled withdrawal opportunities for everyone!

You can now request withdrawals:

- Until 5pm on Sundays EDT (New York), to be processed on Monday.
- Until 5pm on Wednesday EDT (New York), to be processed on Thursday.

You can continue withdrawing your funds to the same withdrawal
destination(s) you currently use.

Additionally, if you happen to miss the Sunday or Wednesday
cut-off, your withdrawal request will automatically be
processed on the next scheduled withdrawal date.
