Your invitation to build the apps of the future

Freelancer.com is launching its API today!
This will enable developers to automate workflows across the entire Freelancer platform, and integrate the power of our marketplace into their applications.
       View Documentation
Uber built the largest taxi company in the world without owning any cars. Could you build an even bigger company without using any staff?
Imagine an app with one button.

It doesn't matter where you are in the world, but once you press that button, anything can be delivered to you.

Your favourite flowers? Delivered. Need a photographer? Press that button. An Indian village needs their well fixed? Easy, they can post their project and then choose from several benefactors. Take a photo, and have a caricature sent back, or a birthday card, or even a 3D model. You're only limited by your imagination.
Case Study
"The Freelancer API provides an excellent platform to scale up the hiring of designers. We just provide a brief based on our AI, and Freelancer's API does all the heavy lifting." — Steve Liu, Co-founder, Flobox
Flobox, a recent winner at Startcon, used the Freelancer API combined with artificial intelligence to create Assetio–a way to automatically cycle and optimise ad creatives using human designers without any human intervention.
Access to the API documentation and sandbox is available now at
developers.freelancer.com
Today, we are also releasing two fully open source SDKs, which are now available on GitHub for immediate integration into client applications. These SDKs are available in the two most common software development platforms:

Python

Android
We can't wait to see what you'll build!

17 Businesses To Start For Under $10,000

Case Study: Michigan Millennials Establish "Washington Alley" — an online clothing store for men.

Childhood best friends Lucas Craig, 29, and Eddy Beyne, 30, not only grew up together in Traverse City, but have now founded a budding fashion empire — Washington Alley.

In 2016, they launched their first pair of jeans — "Webster" — with the denim sourced from a 110-year-old local manufacturer. The pair then built an online store to sell their wares. It quickly snowballed into an outlet for other curated, locally made products.

Their website was initially built on the Shopify platform but Lucas found it very difficult to change the names and banners of the drop-down menus for product pages. He also wanted to keep the shipping and returns policy tab and include banner images on the bottom of the page.

He reached out to Shopify's experts but found the work was very expensive, which is when he turned to Freelancer.com...

Case Study: A Retired Rugby Player Launches Therapy Clinic With Help From Freelancers

"Playing against the best players in the world was by far the biggest in-field highlight."

These are the words of retired professional rugby player, Wade Kelly. After spending 13 years in the pro-leagues, Wade called it quits in 2008. Injuries are common in physical sports like rugby. "I had three major shoulder operations, tearing my Labrum, biceps tendon, supraspinatus tendon, my cartilage and having part of my bursa and bone removed," said Wade.

That was when he came across Postural Therapy.

Before opening his postural therapy clinic, Wade knew that he needed to get a logo and a website done. "Having a logo is essential for business because it's the first thing people see and first impressions last, that's for sure." He turned to local graphic designers and web developers for the project but was astounded by the prices they offered. "To build a logo and website, the prices were above AUD$10,000 and upwards, maxing out at around AUD$23,000..."

Case Study: Australian Visionary Builds An Uber-like Website For Fitness Enthusiasts

Uber has forever revolutionized the way we look at transportation. Because of smartphones, gone are the days where one would spend several minutes failing miserably at hailing cabs.

Accountant David Forsyth thought of adopting Uber's on-demand service to the personal fitness industry. The 37-year-old from Victoria, Australia went online to search for a personal trainer and had difficulty in finding one. He was surprised to discover that there were no services that offered consolidated databases in which he could easily select from.

Local web developers pegged his project at $7,500 AUD to $10,000 AUD, which was well above his budget. David knew that this primary quote would further increase down the road since the website was pretty complex.

A colleague from his office suggested he try hiring a developer from Freelancer.com. Knowing that he had limited options available, he took a shot despite being uncertain of the online platform...
